Pharmacy Programs
Maintenance Choice Voluntary and Maintenance Choice Exclusive
Both programs can save members 33% on the cost of most maintenance medications, also known as long-term medications, when they are filled in 90-day supplies at a retail pharmacy that participates in the program or through the mail service pharmacy.
- Both Maintenance Choice Voluntary and Maintenance Choice Exclusive are available to self-insured accounts with 100 or more employees.
- Maintenance Choice Voluntary is automatically included in the pharmacy benefit, while Maintenance Choice Exclusive is an opt-in.
- Maintenance Choice Voluntary is optional for members while Maintenance Choice Exclusive requires members to switch to 90-day fills to be covered by their plan.
Mail Order with Retail Choice Program
Mail Order with Retail Choice Program is automatically included in the pharmacy benefit if you have 50 or less employees. It is available as an opt-in for fully insured accounts with 51 or more employees.
Mail Order with Retail Choice Program encourages members to switch their maintenance medications from 30-day fills at a retail pharmacy to 90-day fills through the mail service pharmacy. Switching to the mail service pharmacy isn’t a requirement, however, members with this program included in their pharmacy benefit must opt out of the mail service pharmacy annually to continue filling their prescriptions at retail.

Our National Network offers members access to over 65,000 pharmacies nationwide, including thousands of independent pharmacies and most major chains. Members can also find an in-network pharmacy using our Pharmacy Locator tool.
Medication Lookup
Using the Medication Lookup tool, you and your employees can find out what medications are covered, and not covered, by our pharmacy benefit. You can also use it to see which medications have additional requirements like Prior Authorization. Search anytime, anywhere using the web or a mobile device.
